Almudena Suarez, illustrator and restorer

Almudena Suárez (Barcelona, 1969) has a degree in Geography and History and has complemented her training with studies in archaeological restoration, decorative painting, iconography and lighting of parchments. For 16 years, he ran his own iconography workshop, while continuing to expand his knowledge and develop Romanesque painting workshops aimed at children.

In 2008, Suárez decided to embark on a new stage in his career, focusing on illustration and taking advantage of the techniques he had learned in his previous training. Her effort and dedication bore fruit in 2015, when she published her first illustrated album entitled El meu avi i jo, in collaboration with the Joventut publishing house and with text by Núria Parera.

In addition to her work as an illustrator, Almudena Suárez has participated in group exhibitions and has made decorative murals in various schools and hospitals in Catalonia, contributing to the cultural and aesthetic enrichment of these spaces.
